Their Gross.Your Flight.
An independent Bay Area tour for mid-handicappers. You play gross against golfers at your level, every dollar of entry comes back in cash, and there are 22 events at the best public courses within 90 minutes of San Jose.
No strokes given or taken. You play against golfers at your level, and the lowest real score wins.
100% of the entry pool goes back to players in cash, by flight.
A season-long points race, majors and signature events, and one champion crowned at Pebble Beach.
Stuck in the Middle of a Net Field
If you've played net tournaments as a 12 or a 15, you know how it goes. The low handicappers bring steady games that rarely blow up, so on a normal day you can't catch them.
Then you look at the board and someone "playing to a 20-something" posted a net 64. You gave him strokes on half the holes and still lost.
That's the middle of a net field. You're not good enough to beat the single digits straight up, and your strokes can't keep pace with players whose handicaps don't match how they actually play.
| Index | Gross | Net | Finish |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7 | 78 | 71 | Last |
| 12 | 82 | 70 | 3rd |
| 16 | 85 | 69 | 2nd |
| 24 | 91 | 67 | Wins |
Play Your Level. Then Play It Straight.
Your tournament index puts you in a flight with golfers at your level, and then everyone plays gross. No net, no edge, and the lowest real score wins.
Everything Net Golf Gets Wrong, Fixed
A Fake Handicap Buys Nothing
Every event is gross scoring, flighted by the previous quarter's Tournament Index. Padding your handicap gets you nothing but a tougher flight, and repeat winners get promoted.
Four Hours. Not Your Whole Day.
Rounds have a hard 4½-hour cap, and starting groups are expected to finish in under 4. You're home in time for the rest of your weekend.
Nothing to Argue About. Just Play.
No committee, no good-old-boy network, no arguing over pops. Nobody gives or gets strokes, so there's nothing to fight about.
Entry Fees Come Back in Cold, Hard Cash
$40 for the season and $20 entry per event, plus the course's own green fee. No markup, no pro-shop credit, no surprise fees, and the whole entry pool goes back to players.
Compete Against Your Level
Flights are set in 4-stroke bands of Tournament Index, which is built only from your competition rounds and recalculated every quarter. Play your way down and you're promoted. Struggle and you move down a flight.
How Tournament Index works →Simple Fees. No Rake.
100% of the Pool Paid in Cash
The entire gross entry pool is paid out by flight. The bigger your flight, the more places get paid.
One Season. Twenty-Two Chances. One Champion.
Every round counts toward a season-long points race. The top players in points advance to a FedEx Cup–style 3-week playoff that ends at Pebble Beach.
